The Birthday

For the majority of people in the world it is just yet another day. However, for Fred it is supposed to be a special day. Today is his birthday, a day which has always meant a lot to him and his family.

When freed was younger it was a day full of presents, great food and friends. As he grew older the day became less and less of a celebration. No matter how hard he tried it became less and less of a major celebration.

So this year he decided to make a great celebration. To start he decided to rent out his best friends restaurant for the night to throw a huge party. He was going to invite everyone he knew to his birthday bash.

The night had finally arrived. Everyone that he had invited showed up. His bash was such a big deal that there were even party crashers. Not that he really minded the extra people showing up to spend the night with him.

It wasn’t until near the end of the night when things went really wrong. Another crasher arrived to the bash, not that Fred even really noticed. That was until he heard people start screaming in terror from the far corner of the restaurant. A million thoughts started running through his mind as he went towards the screaming to investigate.

The next thing he remembered it was two weeks later and he was waking up in a hospital bed. Reaching for the call bell attached to the side of the bell without success, he realized that he couldn’t move a single muscle in his body. Screaming out with a deep raspy voice to anyone who could hear him. A nurse came into his room.

The nurse explained that he had been hit by a car while crossing the street. None of this made any sense to him since he remembered clearing being at the party. He tried to tell her he was at a party, but all she did was look at him strangely. Leaving the room the nurse told him he would go and get his husband which really shocked poor Fred.

Next thing his friend came in the room explaining it was the only way he was allowed to see him. Finally the truth was coming back to him. His friend had actually taken Fred to the roof at knife point before throwing him from the roof onto the cars below.

Fred tried to scream as his friend placed a pillow over his moth smothering all sound and cutting of his air supply.

I hope you all enjoyed. I would love to hear your thoughts. As always please like and follow to learn more about the page and its content.

So until next week or I guess I should say next year, sit back and relax with a good book.
