This weekend celebrates an important moment in United States history, being the signing of the Declaration of Independence from England. Our founding fathers wanted to stand up against the tyranny of the foreign government.

Throughout the years to many people have forgotten what this day stands for and the cost of the freedoms that we live with every day as a result of that monumental day. There are a lot of people out there especially those that are younger, who think it is just an excuse to party, have fireworks and a free day off from work.

This weekend everyone should take a moment to remember those that have given their lives to provide us with our freedoms.
